What Plusnetdo not tell you is that you have to join sky to get the box and dish.
As the installation of box and dish is free, I have taken out the basic package for 12 months.0 -
Plusnet say cancel after 12 months Sky Contract and will get package with BT Sport at £5.99.0

....but be aware that when you cancel your basic package with Sky, your Sky HD+ box will just become a satellite tuner with no recording facilities, and your channel selection will drop to Freesat from Sky (plus BT Sport on subscription):)0 -
I told Sky I did not want to subscribe to them but they did not give me any other option!!!!!!0

Not so, you can have any independent install those, all you then need is a Sky box (and a valid viewing card to register for it). No sub required. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Would I be able to record with this option?
I feel that Sky should have have given me the other option as I insisted that I did not want to subscribe to Sky.0 -
No. The Sky+ on the box functions are disabled without a sub. Enabling them will cost you £120pa.
If you want PVR functions then the best approach is a Humax Freesat PVR.
Sky agents are in the business of selling Sky subs, most of them are not remotely clued up about Freesat from Sky.No free lunch, and no free laptop
