    Morning all

I'm just going to start a loaf in the bread maker - this time I'm going to try a part white/part whole meal loaf.

Last night, my friend gave me a few things to eBay on her behalf, so I'll get them photographed and some descriptions written up, so I'm all ready to list them at the weekend.

Dinner this evening will be pizza - I'll be doing my first ever pizza base in the bread maker

I'm also going to do a bit of baking. Years ago I used to do an upside down pineapple pudding. I haven't done much baking in recent years, so I thought I'd get back into it by doing an old favourite. Half for desert tonight, and half to freeze.

Crappy day yesterday as we found out LEA have not given Noah a place in autism specific integrated resource.
They rang and asked me which mainstream school they should name on his amended statement so I said none as he is not attending mainstream at all:cool:
Apparently in their wisdom they decided it was best if he went to same school as his peer group!!!:o he doesn't have a peer group and spends breaks and lunches alone in class reading his paper.
I emailed school a piece of my mind last night:eek:
So now I have to appeal and take LEA to court:eek:.... LEA said they were not aware of Noah's current fragile mental health and CAMHS treatment ... So currently arranging reports from them and all and sundry.
If that does not work it's court:(..... But we then have to get reports from independent psych, SALT, OT etc at a cost of approx £1000 per report.... Naffs me right off.
Anyway it's a good job I'm so well up on SEN law etc and they won't pull a fast one with me.... Just a lot of stress I could do without:cool:

So minimal OS today apart from sorting little miss and making tea.

    TTFTM great news:T

    Morning all,

still recovering from the Boots 70% sale, DH was able to come for an hour, most of which we spent in the queue to pay or sitting in the car at traffic lights. Not a very pleasant shop as the gangs were awful, but it wasn't just happening here according to the Boots thread.
Still, that's the presents for the year sorted - I got some stuff for DD's family too as she is stuck in work.

Pottering round the house today, lots of silly bitty things to do, then replacing more buttons on my 3 remaining cardigans. Boo to M&S carpy mock metal plastic buttons :o

Slimming World tonight: even though I want to go, I have a strange "last supper" kind of feeling, which is very silly :D

NPM - that decision is unbelievable: it's as if they didn't bother to check their records! Hope it gets sorted soon. Copy the Chair of the school governors into anything you send to the Head teacher ;)

    TTFTM - :T

Take care and stay warm x

    Morning all,

Much better nights sleep last night, thanks for all the comments re Tramadol. It works so much better for me and I'm sticking to it.
I have my staples out tomorrow and physio on Monday. I'm hoping they will let me work on it at home. My dh is very into exercise and keeping fit and is very happy to help me if they show him what to do. It's a bit of a struggle getting to physio. Anyway will see what they say.
Ds3 has a day off today so he has gone for a haircut and my hubby should be home about lunchtime. We have lots of eBay listing to do. I have had an item returned this morning, why do people not ask questions before they purchase it's such a faff getting things returned and issuing refunds, never mind just part of dealing with people I guess.
Tea tonight will be wraps, probably with chicken and salad. I'm desperate to get outside so I might try a few steps down the street and back at the weekend, will see how I feel.
I think my concentration is improving slightly, so hopefully I can sit and read a book.
Anyway onwards and upwards, have a good day x

Eta. NPM can't believe that decision. Hopefully they are just trying it on and once they realise you know your stuff they will change their decision. It's terrible that everything is such a battle

  • Yes the LEA do try it on with parents in the hope that they give in and accept MS..... Well it ain't happpening;)
They said to me " we don't have many IR places" to which I replied " that's not my problem and I'm not prepared to send my son to MS and further risk his mental health because Sheffield LEA don't have enough places! Maybe you will have to fund the independent ASD school or fund out of area placement"

    Morning everyone

So much for not spending anything yesterday. Got a phone call from my mum telling me to go to chemist as lice has been discovered in my youngest girl’s hair. A quick search of the other girl (who has waist length hair!) shows that she has them too. So off I trotted to the chemist after work. £12 for the stuff, yikes! And now I can’t stop itching and all. Blerggghhh.

Time to face the music – well done! I bet it is a great feeling to pay off those debts.

JackieO – like the sound of cashback. I know being on this site, I really should know what to do, but I don’t have any credit cards. What’s the one you have? Might look into actually getting on and using it for all purchases instead of my debit card.

  • NPM, it's a constant fight. I'm having to fight all the way for Olly as well.
I've had to out in a complaint about his paediatrician. And a complain to get his MDA appointment. It's all so !!!!. It's taken nearly 2 years to get a decent speech therapist.

Well, these people have come up against their match with us eh love!

I've sorted my wardrobe out. All my clothes are now hanging up!

Got the DLA form today so shall be applying for that for Olly. Didn't know I could before he had an official diagnosis.

I needed to pop to boots this morning. It was bedlam, I had no idea it was then70% off sale! I did pick up a few bits though.

Currently salivating while looking through the Lakeland catalogue. I want everything. Can't have any, no money.

    Right, till later folks

NPM You carry on fighting, you are only asking for the right education for your child. I had an autistic boy in one of my classes, he had Aspergers, and he coped well as long as we explained any changes, but not all children are the same.
