in Gone off!
As part of the eating from the cupboards thread I'm going to clear out all my cupboards this Friday and Saturday and make a lit of everything that is in them. It will also be a good excuse to give the a. Good wash down.
I thought it might be fun if anyone wanted to join me? Also quite hilarious to see what is lurking in the backs of the cupboards and to share our inventory!! I know I have some passionfruit curd (!!) I was bought as a present a few months ago that I should really find out what to do with!!!!

Sounds like a good plan! I'm not doing the eating out of the cupboards challenge but mine need to be emptied and reorganised. When we moved in before Christmas everything was just shoved wherever there was a space to get it done. It's a bit of a pain trying to find things now! Everything needs to come out and be put back in a way that makes it easier to find.
This weekend is my first free one so I've decided it's time to try to get things organised and to do a big clean.
Passionfruit curd mixed in with some whipped cream would make a lovely filling for a cake!Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -

use it in a pavlova, top a sponge pudding with it, use it in a trifle, or mix it into some fruit under a crumble topping?0 -

Thanks for the ideas - really inspiring I was struggling before. I think I'm going to go with a pavlova this weekend as I have a carton of egg white on the shopping list to make some pancakes and didn't know what to use it up on and that will be perfect!browneyedbazzi wrote: »This weekend is my first free one so I've decided it's time to try to get things organised and to do a big clean.

I'm going to post my cupboard contents on the thread when I'm done - perhaps for more inspiration on meals and also because will be interesting to see how much of the screen it takes up yet i'm convinced I can never make a meal!! Would love to see yours too!Pay off Debts by Christmas 2015 = DEBT FREE!0 -
I've done this already, it's amazing what you find!
I discovered things that I had and didn't know about. Out of date stuff went in the bin, and I felt very virtuous afterwards!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Sadly I won't be able to include a Pricerite branded small tub of dried herbs. That container (minus the remaining contents used in conserved carrots) went into the recycling bin last week. (I dread to think when Pricerite ceased trading in the UK.)0

I've just done a stocktake of my cupboard. Nothing that embarrassing apart from a tin of Pea and Ham soup with a best before date of 2011! The last time I did a sweep, I found a jar of ground ginger that was bought at Safeway......DFW Nerd no 239.....Last Personal Debt paid off Nov 2012!

I've started mine today but will post when done. A lot of my herbs are best the best before date but they seem ok when I've used them. Do you think they need chucking or will they be ok?Pay off Debts by Christmas 2015 = DEBT FREE!0

Dried herbs and spices last for years. I have used stuff at least 3 years beyond its best before date0
