Strikes mean nothing, any buyer can simply open another account.

Only by bypassing the T&C. If your account is banned you are not permitted to open further accounts.

I still think you are confused- why would a buyer be going to court to get a strike removed? You say yourself that it is of no real consequence.

There is nothing else that ebay can do to force a buyer to pay, all the rest is irrelevant. There is no need to over complicate matters. Buyer cannot pay, seller can open an NPB to recover his fees, buyer gets a strike- end of story.

I think you still misunderstand, no-one has even mentioned a buyer going to court to get a stripe removed in the whole topic.

You seem to be the one complicating matters, all I have told the OP is not to worry, there is nothing the buyer or ebay can do to him, why do you think different?

You misunderstand how the law works, terms and conditions of private companies policies have no bearing on it. They don't have a leg to stand on, he has shown intent to pay, he has documented evidence of this, documented evidence of a refusal on the sellers part, Paypal/Ebay have stopped him paying and no court would find in their favour.

The only action they can take is an internal slap on the wrist by closing his account, which is irrelevant.

You're the one suggesting "no court would find in their favour" and the only one who has mentioned court.

OP cannot pay and will get a strike, but on an account which is banned it so wont matter.

Not broken, maybe bent a little sometimes, but it's not for anyone on this forum to advise rule breaking.
