Hi Everyone

Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i

I've ported over to Ovivo today but when the phone boots up I get this:

Talked to Ovivo about it but they can't help. The settings et al are all working correctly. When I click the back button it goes and phone works fine.

How can I get rid of it?

Stupid question, but is Ovivo one of the options if you scroll down?

    It's not a stupid question!

I have a choice of Asda; BT Mobile; Talktalk; Talkmobile Contract; Talkmobile PAYG; Vodaphone Contract and Vodaphone PAYG!

The Samsung was my son's phone on an o2 18 month contract which has thankfully expired and I'm using it now. I've already got him on Ovivo with his new phone.

Update: Transpires mobile is locked into o2. Spent most of today dealing with o2 and Phones 4 U being bounced off each other as to who will give me the unlock code.

o2 has given in and will take up to 5 days for me to receive it. Dreadful. Was originally informed by o2 to contact the place where I purchased it from to unlock it. I believe this happens to a lot of people.

Indeed I purchased the phone on a contract. O2 were very helpful - not!- when I asked for the PAC code.

    Yet another update

Phone was unlocked. For Samsung Galaxy Ace use this code: *#7465625#

I am never ever going to purchase a contract phone again as it's just so much hassle getting out of.

Ovivo have been wonderful and are sending me another sim. I have to phone them when I put the sim in.

Traded my phone in for another...2nd hand but 12 month warranty...and got a good price for it.

So pleased I will not have to deal with o2 ever again.
