    there is 2 versions of outlook yeah, one is just called outlook, the other is outlook express.
    And they are very different

    OP, if you install an alternative email client like Thunderbird and add your email account details, do the messages reappear?

    Outlook Express has nothing to do with Outlook. What he meant is Outlook and Outlook.com
