Amex Platinum Card - how long do they take to arrive

    When I applied November 2012 I couldn't proceed with my application online without creating an online account. Did you apply by phone/post?

    I applied late at night so the CRAs were closed, but I got a phone call from Amex fairly soon afterwards and my card arrived within a week of that phone call, by DHL package. The PIN arrived in a seperate envelope on the same day, all the way from Fort Lauderdale, Florida by Air mail!

    I never understood the logic with them sending my paper statements from Florida as well! Madness! :L

    I applied online on a Saturday afternoon but my application was referred first so maybe that's why I couldn't setup an account as my application hadn't actually been approved at that point. Ive had a look on their website but it wants details from the card which I don't have yet.

    Oh right well to be honest if you want to use your card as soon as possible when you receive the card set up the online banking and then view your pin. You'll not be waiting any longer you'll just be setting up your online account at a different stage. :)

    From memory you can do the very basics of setting it up but cannot do anything/ see anything useful until you've a card number to associate to it.

    Mine arrived today Wednesday and I was instantly approved last Thursday...so 4 business days it took.
