    Xmas Saver!
I stayed AI where ever I go, as I find that the money is mine, when i stayed in Turkey, i stayed at a resort called Torba, there was 2 hotels, - about 20 drive into Bodrum.

I personally prefer Tunisia, again I go all inclusive, although there is just me and my daughter, its simple things like not having to buy a bottle of water, glass of coke. x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Hello everyone...me again!!

firstly all your hints and tips are great, I've really been reading up alot of AI & they can indeed range from the very cheap to very expensive.

Some of the AI I have been looking at are in the Kusadasi Area..seems lovely but not right in the middle of any action so to speak. The Grand & the Wow & Aqua Fantasy Hotels are one's that seem that they would suit my needs but my budget just can't strecth -maybe some deals will come soon?!!

I've also realised what a la carte means and am certainly reading up on how many times these can be frequented through the stay. So basically I'm looking at about 10-15 before I do the 'x-factor style' cuts and get the last few into the finals

    Some of them are:
Surmeli Efes Hotel, Didim Beach Hotel, Fantasia Deluxe Hotel, Garden of Sun (not looking good)Didim, Tusan,Green Nature Resort & Spa & a few others.

I have decided not to venture to Antalya area even though this is where most of the water parks are based.

I am finding Travel Republic a little expensive. On the Beach, Asda, Low Cost holidays, & Holiday Gems seem competitive. Low cost holidays may not be atol bonded, but I suppose I wouldn't be proctected if you done it all yourself anyway - just book with CC & your half way their!!

A couple other things - it may be easier to fly into Izmir than Bodrum for Altinkum & Kusadasi resorts & also if you fly with easyjet you can possibly pay for less suitcases as you can already bring up to 10kg for hand luggage.

Really really do your homework on not only the AI hotels but the actual resort you are looking to stay in

Some AI places are stuck in the middle of no where. Just the hotel. Nothing within a couple of miles bar mozzies

Turkey is such a beautiful and welcoming country it would be such a shame to pick a one spot everything on the doorstep type holiday in the wrong spot

Try looking at www.lastcheck.co.uk for prices too, used them plenty of times without problems. If you're happy to book flights separately then also look at www.holidaynights.co.uk as they only do hotels and apartments no flights.

For Kusadasi, Izmir airport is the closest and for Altinkum you would be better with Bodrum. However flights to Izmir are not as frequent as Bodrum so it's worth comparing the costs.

The Surmeli Efes (smelly efes as I've heard it called) is OK but quite a distance from the centre. Again it's quite popular with non brits and although it's 5* you still need to be realistic with your expectations.

Didim Beach is closer to the centre, so if you plan on getting out and about it's not a bad option. Reviews are a little mixed though.

Fantasia Deluxe Hotel is probably the best out of the ones you have narrowed down. It's got decent reviews and does have a good AI programme. Can't remember what dates you said you were going but the A la carte doesn't open until 1st June and closes 30th Sept. The ice cream is also only available in the 'summer months' whatever they are!

As someone else has said, check whether the resorts are suitable for you too. Altinkum is very popular with the Irish market, and as such has lots of Irish / British bars. It's almost a bit benidormy in my opinion. Kusadasi is good if you want to see Ephesus as it's the closest resort and has a good selection of bars and restaurants. I would still suggest Bodrum or Marmaris area over these two though.

Thanks for the info...Didum, Fantasia & Tusan are coming up in budget. Once I have my set few I may go for that beat my quote thread thats on here. anyway I am going for 2wks in august so 'high season'. The surmeli efes does suit my needs but as its not near anywhere I may discount it. Is kusadasi a newer resort? - I've never heard of this area. Also the 5* hotels are coming up cheaper in this area also

What is that Fantasia has in terms of AI programme that Didum hasn't? (in your opinion)

It also seems doing everything DIY may not be my cheapest option!!

I like all inclusives & I hardly drink, but you gotta go for great ones.

OP - have you looked into the Sensatori in Turkey?
If I was booking Turkey this would be one of my choices.
Or hillside Su near Fethyie (full board) or Lettonia, or Lykia World, bit cheaper.

You can have a nice cooked breakfast, lovely omelettes & pancakes.

I like all inclusive in turkey because the hassle from restaurant owners every night would be like running a gauntlet of lookie lookie men & frankly I couldn't bear to do that 3 times a day to eat!!!!

Yes I do go out & about & do eat out some, hire cars, take day trips, but to have to do a gauntlet of hassle 3 times a day, not in a million years!!!!

Another great thing about all inclusives & one of the reasons I started using them, they have big private beach strips right in front of their hotels.
Actually that's the best thing about them.

BTW - spent 2 weeks at the Agean Dream & sunbathed in peace at the sea end of the long wooden jetty every day, in perfect peace. The barman brought drinks - they do if you tip ;-)

Kusadasi is turkey's version of benidorm.

We hired a car & drove to effesus one day, stopped in kussadasi for lunch.
If that had been my first port of call in turkey, I'd never have gone back!

Does all inclusive mean all excursions are free also?

Can anyone give me hints, pointers or tips on anything all inclusive turkey holidays.

Any blogs or reading up I can do...trip advisors excellent but I will probably need to decide my area before I research anymore.

    Thanks in advance

Trips will never be included, some Olu Deniz hotels bus you to the lagoon but thats about it.
    Whats important to you?
Are you beach babies or do you like activities?
If activities what sort? Sightseeing or sporty?
What sort of food do you like, must it be chips with everything or a bit upmaket?
What about drink, not much, long opening hours, or premium spirits, good cocktails?
What level of room comfort? Clean only or swim up rooms & rainfall shower essential?
