Why do you want a car with a low mileage that equates to 5000 miles a year? Most cars like this just do loads of short runs around town without getting properly warmed up. This produces a lot of wear and tear on mechanical parts, especially the engine. Give me a car that has done 12000 mostly motorway miles a year, as long as it has been serviced regularly. You will be paying a premium for no advantage.

Manufactured in the same Spanish factory with mostly the same parts. You bought a lemon, nothing more.

I've had two and both were made in Hiroshima. As far as I'm aware all the 2's come from there. Either way, they are cracking little cars (naff cars don't win world car of the year).

You are probably right with the mileage.. it's just that I'm getting much less for my golf part exchange because I bought it with a high mileage 5 years ago... I'm not planning to do a high mileage, in fact I won't use the car that much..

Anyway, that's not related to my original question! I found 2 cars that fit my budget but none of them are ford dealers, just trying to decide if I should go and see them or not...
  • If you are in the area of Dagenham motors, would recommend gates at Harlow. Aftercare service from them is much better, and cheaper from my own personal experience
