My local supermarket operated forecourt has stayed resolutely at £1.40 +/- 1p throughout.
I have been filling up when our and about at Asda if possible. Interesting that my local Asda 14 miles away, down a main road, can be 7p cheaper.
They did point out that this months inflation figures are against a high base from 12 months ago.

What about the rest of the currencies
It's not just me saying this, the EY item club, for example cites it as one of the reasons for the fall in inflation. Not sure why i need to back myself up on every point, but hey, heres the backup!Andrew Goodwin at the EY ITEM Club said that a combination of 'pre-Christmas discounting and a stronger pound appears to have been key to pushing inflation down, offsetting the effects of higher energy bills'.0 -

Sterling is in the same place as 12 months ago against both $ and € so those 'other things' had quite an influence.0 -
