What happened to the regular updates we used to get on petrol prices on here?
Oh hang on...from November.Motorists are paying the lowest average petrol prices for more than two and a half years, according to the AA.
The average price at the pump has fallen from 132.16p a litre in October to 130.44p.
and from MSE towers yesterday..Asda will set a new national cap of 126.7p per litre for unleaded and 133.7p for diesel at its forecourts, while at Tesco – where prices vary by location – the price of petrol and diesel will drop by up to 2p per litre at all of its forecourts.0 -
so prices reach an all time high again
I paid £1.31 for petrol jan 2013
and paid £1.31 for petrol last week0 -
Good news always attracts loads of posts on MSE I've noticed, its a bit like the gritted teeth of the BBC passing on such jollity.0

While the official figures might be low they do exclude things that we cannot avoid like house prices and food is probably understated for many people, especially those on low incomes. Though if you buy the basket of goods that they use then your personal inflation rate will be 2%. Some will have a lower rate because of what they are buying. Some higher. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0
