Are you okay to put your items in large bags if they have run out of baskets before you have paid for your items???
I really think some people are in for a shock! It really is just bargain hunter carnage. I've seen people with Asda trollies filling them - when the nearest Asda is a good mile away. I take 2 big blue IKEA bags, but some people use bin liners. And there really are bored husbands stood at the end of isles just waiting to be handed bulging stuffed bags, while their wives go back for more. As long as you pay for it before you leave they won't think you're nickin in. Besides, the staff are too busy on the tills to bother.

Does anyone think that the fact it will be 70% off this year instead of 75% will be enough to put off the ebayers/car booters/traders?
i.e not as much profit to be made?

    Probably not!

Might mean a few genuine customers may spend a bit less particularly if they've had a lot of bargains elsewhere but doubt it will make any difference to the traders.

Still don't understand how they can make that much money from some of the larger items especially when there's loads on Ebay too so not as though stuffs that hard to find.
But I guess If people really want something they'll pay the price they're prepared to pay for it.

Don't think i'd want all that stuff taking up space in the house all year though, it's bad enough with the presents I buy. :D

It's a shame there's this mad scrum every year & the minority spoil it for the majority but that's the way it is. You would think Boot's would want as many genuine customers as possible to benefit from it but it would be very difficut for them to control - people would just take more members of their family & work in groups.

they break the gift sets up and sell the individual items (and the cases/boxes that come with them) separately - seen it all before :rotfl:.

Ill be at the Norwich, chapelfield boots tomorrow morning - 8am! Whos with me?
I'll be at the mall at 8, i think they usually have a better selection and i want to see what kids clothes they have left, don't forget to give the riverside and longwater stores a look as they're not usually very busy and have a good selection left :-)

    Haha so true!!

Last year in Meadowhell there were people filling the cages that the staff bring the stock out in.
Absolute madness, think they had the security there in the end before a fight broke out

I doubt Boots care who buys it as long as they are not left with it.

Last year there was a couple buying all the Lynx & Doveto sell in their shop as it doesn't state not for individual resale on them!

When I worked for Superdrug we used to do that and add them to the existing stock levels, glad Boots don't do that :)

Isn't it sad that we live in a so called civilised society, yet people act worse than animals for consumerism. Even animals allow the whole pack a share of the kill. Shame many (and I'm sure it's not all, and perhaps one of those filling a cage was going to donate it all to charities and refuges) people aren't so enthusiastic about helping out society eh?

Not in todays world - it's all about the money...

There are plenty of goodhearted soles that go to the 75% sale and are happy to have one of an item & share & pass to others.
Even some do buy for charity and raffle prizes which is nice but then there are those that are all out for themselves :(
