70% or 75% either way still attractive to get me out of bed early!

This year i roped my husband in, his mum and our friend to join us. Having read some posts, im looking out a big bag to take with me to use instead of theirs. I also just went into town to check out whats there. Quite a bit and still putting stock out. I asked if i can use my boots card to pay for sale items and was told yes but it must cover the full amount. I cant pay extra. hmmm Bit confused by that. Saw nothing that really stands out, but regardless of what i get it will be extra bits n bobs for this years Xmas.Im very excited, how sad lol. Up early to get there. Last year 2 woman literally blocked the best aisle and the one in the middle swiped a shelf full. Pretty darn rude, better no happen this time or i shall call on the mother in law to interfere haha

I'll be paying with points too, as long as you have enough point to pay for an item in full it's fine.

The people swiping the shelves are probably selling in their shop or something, it's hard to limit people when they take family members too.

Looking forward to it - and as someone already mentioned; all the stories that go with it afterwards - makes an interesting read :T

I remember many years ago - just happened to go in to Boots and noticed all this 'stuff' was 75% off - I couldn't believe it!! I wandered round for ages, with hardly anyone else around - incredible - for the next year or so it was the same thing! Then it went mad!!! I really hate that some just put there arm on the shelves and ram it ALL in their bags - it's so greedy. I really think that if Boots are going to continue with this brilliant sale, they really have to be more strict - why not make more people happy, when you've just managed to buy something that you will really love, or your mum, best friend, children would be so excited to receive - and not just being shoved out of the way for those sweeping armfuls into trolleys, not even knowing what they have - 40 boxes of Sanctuary - really??? Lets all enjoy it - come on Boots - do your bit too x

Last year I woke up at 5am and bought £500 worth of stuff.
  • Why do you have to get up early? Are they not open normal time?

I remember a few years back when I always used to wonder where all the Christmas stock had gone as I used to hang on for furher reductions and then go in on a Saturday only to find it had all gone & used to wonder what they could possibly have done with it all!!

The next year I was determined and went on the day of the sale after work looking forward to some bargains & still nothing, the shop was completely cleared!! :(

Then more determined than ever I went the following year before work finally got some bargains and realised how much of a frenzy this whole thing is, no wonder I'd missed out, it's completely mad!

So now after all those years of missing out it's an annual date in my calendar every January that I look forward to religiously!:rotfl:
