Hi all hope you all had a great Christmas, and a good first part of the year.
My question today is ive just bought my dd a second hand iphone 4s. Which when I bought it I was told it was unlocked to any network. Anyway to cut a long story short the phone was locked to Vodafone. A unlocking code as been asked for and we are just waiting for it to come. The only thing is how do you put the code into the phone, you can't get passed the set up page so there is no where to enter the code. Please any thoughts on it will be gladly accept. You connect the phone to iTunes and do it

When you unlock an iPhone, there is no unlocking code. If someone has told you this, they are lying.

To unlock an iPhone, the network to which it is locked must send a request to Apple to unlock it on Apple's database. The next time the iPhone connects to Apple's servers (with the wrong network's SIM card inserted), the iPhone will be unlocked.
