    Hi there
thanks to both of you for your replies. I use Outlook because I'm outdated & pretty crap myself, so it suits:rotfl:
My business partner also uses Outlook so I can't understand why she can do this & I can't.
As much as I'd love to change to another system for emails I don't have the time or the inclination to have to start faffing around trying to relearn how to send emails.
    thanks anyway though
In the time you've spent faffing about explaining why you can't send the songs by dropbox etc, you could have set up a dropbox account, learned how to use it, and sent your first song.

It really isn't in the least bit difficult.

    +1 for Dropbox.

Dropbox creates a folder on your PC, that, whenever you put files into it, is automatically synced to your Dropbox account online. You can right click on any of the files within this folder and click on "Share Dropbox link," which automatically copies the link to your clipboard and you can then paste it wherever.

So it's as simple as: -

    1. Drag song into Dropbox folder.
    2. Right click on song and click on "Share Dropbox link."
    3. Paste link into e-mail and send it.
    What will your verse be?

Nothing wrong with Outlook (excluding express, which should be dumped NOW), but I'll bet that Tiscali email address has a silly little 2mb limit for attachments or something. You might find out better if you try to log in to that email address on the web. Keep it for business if you must (I would suggest you start migrating) but set up a new email account for sending these bigger files. GMail, Yahoo, Outlook.com (that's what used to be Live and Hotmail) will all do great.

You say you can send other file formats than WAV or MP3 OK. So can you send a file of approx the same size or greater OK in, say, JPEG format? Try it and see, just email it to yourself.
If that send and receives OK, then it's not a limit set by your ISP (which in the case of an old Tiscali account may well have a 2MB limit).
But the quick workaround here is to set up a Gmail account and use that instead for now-currently they offer a 25MB limit.
