Ending CPW contract
I am nearing the completion of my 12 month term, connection date was 2nd of August.
I know i need to give 30 days notice but does anyone know where i sent the letter to, contract was on 02 with carphone warhouse. Also what i should include in the letter and will it affect my last cashback which is due in a few weeks?
Thanks

i think kltpzyxm's information is incorrect...
the OP has an O2 contract with CPW. this is completely different to o2.
the OP needs to look at his bill for the contact number. call them and go to disconnections and give them your notice, they accpet telephone notice because i have done that myselfRound Figures OCD Club!

Apologies, I was basing my post on my own experience of CPW. I had a voda contract via CPW ad when I went to them (CPW) to cancel it, I was told that I had to contact vodafone cancellations directly, which I did....0

Been there/done that. They are an utter pain although AFTER the event told me they have now improved things. Couldn;t have been much worse!
1) You need to call them no earlier than 34 days before you want to disconnect (that apparently has now changed to up to two months before I believe) to obtain a so-called disconnection code so you can then:-
2) Write (send recorded delivery but my one one good old RM didn't track!). From that point one the story goes you get a disconnection date 30 days after it arrives but I don't believe everything they tell me.
They used to give you the wonderful time of no more than 4 days (including weekends) to get the code; obviously because they want to get you to renew or at least overrun your contract slightly. However, you CAN get a rather good upgrade deal if you prefer - it's free. £300 credited to your account and then £25 a month - so no money comes from you, zero cashbacks; off-peak 750 min/125 texts 12 month contract. Note they will overlap contracts but what they DON'T tell you is that the new one will run until the end of the old one - i.e. up to 13 months. However, you only pay for one for the overlap so the only difference is one month (roughly) between the old and new tariff difference).
Address to write to for cancellation notice is:
1006
O2 The Carphone Warehouse
PO Box 4316
Dunstable
LU5 5WG
I have also been told that you can use a default cancellation code of 5885585 if you haven't obtained one (again, I'd prefer not to rely on that!).
You can ask to be put through to disconnections from the main cpw O2 menu.
I don't know if they ever DID take cancellations (as Orange, Virgin and Vodafone all do) over the phone, but they certainly don't now!0
