Hi I have a problem scrolling up or down a page, i am using google. I am going to describe the problem but i dont know the proper names for what i am trying to explain to you. :o On the right of my screen is the Slider bar? that i have to left click and drag if i need to scroll, usually there is an arrow (box) pointing up at the top of the slider bar and an arrow (box) pointing down at the bottom of the screen. they have both disappeared and as i was clicking on these to scroll i am now stuck, unless i left click and drag. Is there a way to get these back, and if so will you kind techie people explain to me how to do it. Thank you.:T I appologise for the crude way i am asking for help.

Sounds like you've positioned the window in such a way that the up and down arrows aren't visible.

Try hitting Alt+Space on the keyboard whilst in the browser and then click on Maximise in the menu that appears.

You mean the arrows on the scrollbar have disappeared? What OS (Windows XP, 7, 8, Mac OS X?) and browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox?) are you using?

I've had the same for the last week or so on Chrome. The scroll bar is there but the little top and bottom arrows are gone so the only way to scroll is by dragging the slider, which is a pain on a laptop, or clicking on the bar making it move in big jumps. I presumed it was an update which had removed it.

I've had a read online and the only working suggestion someone had was to uninstall Chrome and re-download and install the latest stable version of the Google Chrome UK website.

Just as an aside ... I hardly ever use the vertical scroll bar. I use the scroll wheel on top of my Microsoft mouse and I find this so much quicker and easier. I presume this works the same in Chrome ... I'm using IE11.

No. The little arrows are called steppers apparently. I've searched on Google and it appears they removed them in the last Chrome update. There is a bit of a call to get them reinstated but Google who own Chrome are saying the don't want to as it's part of the clean new look. There are a few workarounds using extensions but they don't seem that successful. Most people are saying they will use Internet Explorer or Firefox until it's fixed.
