We are mainly using the site as a base for exploring the area, so swimming will only be something we look to do if the weather is terrible or we are back early one day and want something to do in the afternoon.

We won't use the evening entertainment.

Our daughter likes to visit an arcade but I'm guessing we can find one on the sea front if they won't let us in the site entertainment complex.

Then you'd be better doing some research on Google and finding out about local swimming pools/cinemas/bowling alleys etc near your accomodation just incase the weather is not good.

For me the park passes are £6.95 each. There are 4 of us. We will use the pool twice, and visit the evening entertainment at least twice, on the first night and then again in the week. My children like the arcade and games machines and I try bingo. We cannot do these without the passes. The local pool 15 minutes away charge £4.50 per adult per swim and it doesn't have a slide etc, in fact you also have to pay for parking! For our family it is worth it. However if it was £9.50 each I too would start to think twice. We tend to use the entertainment less on this break ( May half term) because Britains got talent live shows are on. So we go to some evening entertainment early then come back to the caravan and watch the show. We don't stay out late.

with burnham on sea I find that if you go to the main complex entrance early in the day like 9-10am there was no-one on the door to check your passes. also there was a gate at the back of the pool where you can hire bikes/carts that was always left open so you could enter the complex this way as we did a few times as this was nearer to our caravan. not once was I asked for a pass once I was in the complex. this was in oct half-term. also the pool is being upgraded so it might be a little different this year.
