Haven leisure passes

Does anyone know if we could just pay to use the pool and avoid buying leisure passes when booking a Sun holiday, please?

We won't really use the other entertainment and may not even use the pool so £9.50 each seems pricey!

You need the passes to use the pool. A cheaper option would be to use the local council pool if you were just using it once. In saying that our council pool is a fun splash type of place that charges adults £5.50 for 90minutes. So 2 adults and 2 children is about £18. The bonus of Haven passes is you can use it more than once or everyday of your holiday for £9.50.

which park is it? At some parks they are very efficient at checking passes all day everyday and at other parks it is more lax.....

let us know which park and someone might know..

Term-time experience only in 2012 - they checked passes on Fri/Sat/Sun evenings at the door to the main complex, but not on Mon-Thur evenings. Not at all during the day.

Sometimes you can get away with showing a room key but its not 100% guaranteed

I wouldn't mind paying if we did use the pool - I'm just trying to avoid paying in advance for something we may not want to do when we are there iykwim?
  • I wouldn't bother, we never use the entertainment or kudos clubs and visit local pools instead. But that's my personal opinion.

i think you need to decide knowing what your family like to do .

every family is different - for my family we buy the passes as that makes it a cheap holiday ie the kids spend all day every day in the swimming pool and then we cook an easy meal in the caravan - pizza or something that you bung in the oven....we then go to the bar for a drink whilst the kids watch the free show and then back to the van to bed..... up early and in the swimming pool again...

We are mainly using the site as a base for exploring the area, so swimming will only be something we look to do if the weather is terrible or we are back early one day and want something to do in the afternoon.

We won't use the evening entertainment.

Our daughter likes to visit an arcade but I'm guessing we can find one on the sea front if they won't let us in the site entertainment complex.
