I have that same issue on and off with TD Direct but clicking on the ...., getting rid of the TD Direct marketing message, and then clicking on the TD Direct account again always logs me in. As I don't need to log into TD Direct a lot, I don't mind - it still saves me from having to remember / looking up the login details.
