May I suggest a little party with cake, ice cream and dancing
I do feel like a bit of a mug at the moment, I've worked full time solidly for over 22 years and ok, I have myself to blame for my debt but am terrified of finding myself living on benefits because (with the rare exception) everyone seems to be geared towards making me feel bad or confused when I start looking into what I might be able to get!
Funniest thing is PIP, I got a text telling me that they've received my completed form and to expect to attend a consultant appointment but there is a 26 week backlog??? That's half a year!!!
On the bright side, I'm feeling confident that I will be fixed and hopefully before then so I can then go back to contributing to something for others to use while I can't

So, it's been a week since I last updated my diary which I know is a tad naughty but to be fair I've not had much to say and have been a bit worried about what is going to happen next to me...
Today, I got my payslip and it's the first one to show a reduction reflecting my occupational sick pay having stoppedit's only a week less but it's a big old chunk and kinda scary because next month if I neither qualify for my company discretionary benefit or get fixed (which I'd obviously prefer) I will find myself on just ESA!!! Now small mercies, I am back at Mums which means that there is no rent just yet but I do face living off a few £'s per week after my share of fuel and food costs, my mobile phone, prepaid prescription certificate and token DMP payments come off
It is more than a little upsetting as I never expected myself to be in this position at my age (or any age really) but I'm still confident that things will work out in the endever the optimist, that's LOL
On a more positive note my walking has been a little better, my recovery times are a bit better (with the odd exception when I was stupid because I felt good) and maybe, just maybe the end (of my back problems, not my life LOL) is in sight???
Today I need to call SC and enquire into making token payments... Fingers crossed everyone!

So this morning I spoke to Step Change and did a budget review...
I have decided to hang on to as much of this months pay as possible and keep it in the bank as I don't know what (if anything) I will be getting in future months just yet from work and I'd rather have a very health emergency fund as opposed to a decidedly average one...
So, I'm paying £45 per month now (£5 per 9 creditors) for the foreseeable future which taken out of my ESA will leave me with about £260 a month to pay for my contribution towards rent, bills, food, etcshould be interesting LOL I'm sure I'll manage though, I don't really have much choice! I won't be going too far as I can't afford taxi's and have a wait on until my PIP claim is assessed - JOY!
Come on back, stop playing silly beggars and let me return to work please...

Nothing new on the money front but today my GP told me that she wants to sign me off for 3 months since I'm going back every 4/6 weeksI said "hell no!" I may be being selfish in taking up her time but mentally 3 months is a quarter of a year and makes me feel like a cripple waiting to be put down instead of being injured and recovering LOL
However I am battling my desire to buy a Playstation 4I have some money in the bank, enough to be a comfortable emergency fund, so far I'm winning the battle but boredom is taking it's toll now and as I'm struggling to get out (wandering through suburbia isn't the same as walking through a city centre) as I need to be careful with how far I go before thinking about coming back! I can get into town which is just over a half an hour walk but it's too far to get back so I wind up taking a taxi as I can't use buses which costs me £6 a time
If I was working at getting an income I'd happily throw the money at my debts as it's fun to do but right now with nothing coming in I want something to show for it.... Not sure if I'm explaining it very well LOL it's not like I'm going to buy one but I just wanted to EXPRESS how much I'd like one right now and how much WILL POWER it's taking to not
Waffle over, g'night!!!

Ever get that feeling that someone out there just wants to keep you down?
Despite several calls and discussions with my local housing association and advice that if I was added to the rental agreement for Mums council house (which has been the family home for close to 45 years but we'll gloss over that) I would after one year be classes as a fixed tenant and while I wouldn't get succession rights I would be considered a permanent council resident and moved to a suitable property - for a short period of time I actually felt secure, I never expected to keep this property (unless I "assisted" Mum in buying it) but thought I'd get some sort of priority...
Nope, I'm not a partner/spouse or civil partner so I mean nothing.
Having been on the council waiting list for about 6 years I have been advised to stay on it and if I become homeless they may look at increasing my priority depending on my needs.
Feeling great around about now, what else can go wrong? Still, at least I have my health! Oh wait... Nope, that's f*cked too LOL GREAT!

Balls to it, I've just replied back including a link on the councils own website which has a section stating; The law says that the following people have a right to inherit a tenancy:
a husband, wife or person living with the tenant as their partner at the time of death
another family member or relative including parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. It also includes adopted children and step children, and people who are relatives by marriage. Any relatives wanting to inherit the tenancy must have lived with the tenant for at least twelve months before the death of the original tenant. You may be asked to prove this.
So either they are making it up as they go along or their website is woefully out of date LOL either way, I have nothing better to do anywayit could always be of course that they just don't know their job... Could it be possible that a council representative doesn't know what they are doing? Hmmm... Surely not!
