I already work at my local Lloyds branch. I know how it works. :T

Where does your knowledge come from?

Now why lie mate I don't understand, you've made yourself look a bit of a fruit now.

If you worked in lloyds you'd now CPD markers are placed on customers accounts.

    Oh dear...

Exactly, why would I lie? I don't think I've mentioned it (publicly) before on MSE but it's pretty clear from my previous posts that I do work for Lloyds.

You however haven't answered my question. If you're so certain that you are correct where does your knowledge come from?
  • . If they can't offer you a specific type of credit facility then internally the reason could be listed as "Credit Policy Decline".
I am currently working part-time hours for a well known retailer during the christmas period.

Not sure if you've mentioned working in a bank but you've said a major retailer and that lloyds could be listed with a credit policy decline

You've been selective with your search.
Last christmas I did work in retail. I also said as an xmas temp (i.e. only over the christmas period). And straight after that I started at Lloyds.

Not sure what your point is with that last bit. This is correct because it is just a reason and there are other reasons besides "Credit Policy Decline" for when they are not able to offer you a particular product.

But you still haven't answered my question?

Finally! YES we know that, whether it's a reason or not "credit policy decline" shows up on the cashier's computer if that particular customer has one.

And if you were a cashier you'd know this and this is WHY I don't believe you work at lloyds and if you did work at lloyds I'm pretty sure you are nothing to do with seeing customers accounts.

    Cheers

CSA (cashier)... been there, done that. It does show credit policy decline on the system but I am arguing that it is not a marker which can be placed. That simply isn't how it works.

Remind me of any branch roles that don't involve seeing customer accounts?

Why and how are you so sure of yourself?

Each and every month the system makes an assessment of whether it can offer each customer an overdraft, loan, credit card, or (if applicable) an upgrade of their current account and at what limit and rates.

The assessment includes the running of your current accounts (so any bounced direct debits, account turnover etc.), past credit performance, CRA feed, age etc.

If they can't offer you, for example, a loan then on our systems next to the word loan it will show us one of the few reasons. One reason listed might be "Age of Customer". Another reason might be "Credit Policy Decline" - it's a general term but it refers to the running of your current accounts.

There is no Age of Customer/AOC marker. Just like there is no Credit Policy Decline/CPD marker.

I know some staff choose to show customers this screen but maybe some staff don't know how the system works, perhaps they do not fully explain to the customer what the information means, they may even give a simplified explanation to customers (Innovate, take note). This leads people to think that CPD is a marker which has been placed on their account and this is what is preventing them from getting credit.

Because I had it placed on mine with loans about 3 months after I bought a car "which I think why it was placed" and when I went into the branch about downgrading my account they swung their computer around and I see it said credit policy decline and when questioned it the advisor said it's placed under loans.

I didn't have it next to credit cards as I have a lloyds credit card and got a large overdraft with them.

I'm arguing with you because I see it with my own eyes yet you decided to keep posting saying how credit policy decline does not get placed on customers accounts.

Now all of a sudden you've decided to change your mind from credit policy decline do not get marked on accounts to you knowing they do get put on customers accounts.

After seeing CPD on the screen with my own eyes and then you disputing this saying you work at lloyds still won't make me change my mind about you telling lies about working at lloyds.

Bank of Scotland have a similar scoring system but with the ideal score for loans being a '701 A' . The number indicates the available monthly loan amount. The letter indicates the loan rate. They will also tell you if asked what your internal score is.
