Unfortunately I believe this is a problem inherent in the sector rather than isolated to your particular care home. I'm not saying they're all the same but there appears to be a lot of this.

I might get flamed for saying this but here goes, in my experience the great carers were people who like OP seemed to have been in a place for a long time. Certainly when a relative moved in for palliative care the same care team from ten years ago was petty much still there. Anyway, there are an awful lot of people who go into the sector because they don't need qualifications and will be trained, adding in that most try to work locally; it's not that they want to be a carer. I believe this is what adds to the problems OP is facing.

Hugs OP have you thought about maybe moving roles into a hospital based environment as a healthcare assistant?

Unfortunately, you are correct about this kind of abuse being inherent in the sector.

However, the best care workers stay in the job and report abuse.

Length of service alone means nothing if they are happy to turn a blind eye.

Speaks a care worker who has reported colleagues for abuse and would do so again in an instant.
