How should I ask 'nicely' for my inheritance?

I know this may sound like I'm going to go and say "I need my inheritance. You've given it to other family members, why not me?" but I'm not.
I want to ask nicely if it's possible to have it early. I've already had roughly half since he gives it as 'Christmas presents' each year. But now I'm older, have a job and I'm expecting to travel a ton in 2014. A car would be ideal but my current salary won't cover the initial deposit.
Would it be rude to ask for some more of the inheritance to cover the cost? I'm the only one in the family who hasn't had the full amount yet.
Also what would be a way to go about it as nicely as possible?

When everyone's had their inheritance, I can see a small snag for the donor...I am one of the Dogs of the Index.0

In the past, I wrote a note to the executor, just updating current contact details.
No executor, no inheritance. Try a nice letter? Plus possibly an invite to join you for some of the travel?0 -
Wait until somebody dies then it'll work itself out - no need to raise it prematurely and risk offending somebody. After all, you can't offend them after they've moved on. Though it could be considered improper decorum by any living relatives to bring it up at the funeral service. This is everybody's fault but mine.0

I had intended asking for information the best way of going about planning to start a family, setting up trusts and the like.... HOWEVER , after reading this , CAN ANYBODY RECOMMEND A CHEAP, RELIABLE CLINIC FOR A VASECTOMY?0 -
In case you really dont know OP, an inheritance is something you may or may not receive on the DEATH of a loved one/family member etc
You could speed it up by murdering the person (But I wouldnt recommend that as it tends to get blood on the walls and carpets.)0 -

Anyway, I think you will find the will might have been very unobtrusively altered to show that they, in fact, wish to leave it all to the dog.

All we need now is for Lavish to chime in.I am one of the Dogs of the Index.0
