Anyone know of a supplier of oak dining room tables?
The requirements I have are about 2.4 by 1 metre before it's extended. Up to 2.8-3 metres.
Extending leaves stored as part of the table.

We bought our oak dining furniture from Neptune - I think ours was 1.8m extending to 2.4m but lots of sizes available. Not cheap but ours was very good quality and will last for yrs.0

From them direct or someone else?
Where are they and do they have a website?0 -
Looks like 1.8 is the biggest they do.0

Try these, they do several different designs of extending oak table that are around that size:

We have bought furniture from oakfurnitureland. It is really good quality and I thought it was quite reasonable price.

Not sure if any of these are suitable, but worth a look.0 -

I think they're all too small went into the local shop be was told 2.4 was the max. The display one wouldn't extend as the catches had failed and they use sap wood only fit for the log burner.0 -

I would think that 1.8m would be standard before extending. Some do extend up to 2.9m so you could have it partially extended as standard, and then opened up to 2.9 for special occasions. Not ideal though as wouldnt be symmetrical which would annoy me!
Website is https://www.neptune.com but guess you already found that? We bought 3 yrs ago through a small local shop, but they now sell through John Lewis among others.0 -

Sorry I did mean 2.4, staff in the shop were useless.0 -
Try antique shops!! 'Brown' furniture, as it's called, is relatively cheap at the moment. We found a fabulous extending table (seats 6 comfortably, extending to 8/10), with 8 matching chairs which had been newly upholstered, for just £530. And free delivery!!!No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0

Better value, by a country mile.0
