Wouldn't it be easier to put up a sign saying, please don't use this space for reversing?

I dont think that's a good idea, it's like those roads where the pretentious tw*t residents put signs up saying "no u-turns" (or similar), if I see one I will make a beeline for it JUST to do a u-turn...... I mean what do they expect people to do? A J turn instead?

There's a reason why they're reversing there, tackle the cause not the symptom.

For example, its shocking how many people don't have a number on their house, or in some roads parking in front of the street name sign, this just leads to people getting lost and having turn around.

This isn't a public road though which is what you are referring to.
As far as we know they are just doing it because it's easier, and no one has asked them not to.not because not doing so would cause them to fall of the end of a cliff for example.

Can you be more specific about the example you are talking about, not just a hyperthetical example.

Eh.. Street name signs are usually at the end of a street.. It's not rocket science

The cause of you being disrespectful and a poor navigator is somewhat complex.

I dont care if its a "public" road or not, its accessible to the public, if people drive down it and realise its the wrong road, then they need to turn around.

Try walking down such a road with a machete and see what the Police have to say about the knife law and "public space".

Some people get this idea that a "private road" means they can pretenciously claim ownership of that space. Quite similar to people who try block access the the queens highway (historic public footpaths) that cross their land.

Now in this case it's a driveway, so OP needs to solve the cause of the problem, not the symptom. And of course if it doesn't actually cause a problem, just ignore it.....

You need to read the op again.
You're going off on a weird tangent
  • Try a drop post - sometimes up sometimes down. give keys to those allowed over your access.
The reversing habits will be changed and then you will not need it often.

Well, if somebody drives down my road and needs to turn round, I'm not primitively terriotorialistic to get all hot and bothered just because some wheels go on my drive.

    Again, petty and territorial!
