Collection only item but buyer paid through PayPal

I just need a bit of advice before I proceed regarding an item that was collection only/cash on collection.
The buyer paid via PayPal and then sent an email asking for me to deliver. I said I could deliver but the item was cash on collection and that I would prefer to reverse the paypal transaction and proceed with cash on delivery/collection. However, the buyer doesn't want me to reverse the paypal transaction.
As I understand it, I'm not covered by seller protection if the buyer pays via paypal and raises an INR as I will have no proof of deliver or collection.
Is there any way round this?

How do they want you to deliver it? By hand or post?
If post and you are happy to do so then charge them for the postage.
If hand delivered I personally would decline and refund. I would never a accept paypal for a collection item.0 -

Unless it's a car (or one of the excluded purchases) then you have to offer Paypal, you do not however have to offer delivery.

They want me to deliver by hand. I have offered to arrange a courier at her expense but she turned around and demanded that I honour the paypal transaction.0

Assuming this was set up as collection only and not 'free postage' (I've seen a lot of newer sellers show free postage when they mean collection only), then tell them to come and collect.
You cannot be forced to sell though if this is a high end item and you are worried about the PayPal on collection scam, but if you refund you cannot force the buyer to pay cash.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Unless you're willing to essentially gamble with however much it is then those are your only options..0 -
It's definitely listed as: will not ship (buyer must collect). I do feel uneasy about the transaction because she initially messaged me saying that she had seen I stated cash on collection but paid by PayPal anyway.0

I've offered her both those options RFW and she said she wants me to honour the paypal payment. I don't know if I'm being unreasonable but I don't want to risk the potential of an INR.0

It sounds like it may be a fairly substantial amount of money. If so I'd get in touch with Ebay in case there are any problems ahead. As far as I know an item not received claim wouldn't affect your account if you just refund straight away. You may end up losing the Ebay fees though as the buyer would probably not complete a mutual agreement..0 -
If you listed "collection only/cash on collection" but also Ebay states "The policy requires all sellers to offer PayPal as a payment method in their listings" this could be a problem.
You could cancel the transaction, she would get message asking if she agrees or not. Even she disagrees and Ebay ruled against you the worst they could do is close your Ebay seller's account and ask you to return the Paypal payment.0
