I would just refund the money via paypal and include a note saying if she still wants the item it's cash on collection.

Thanks RFW, I've explained all that to her and she replied saying for me to stop making things so complicated and she would give me a handwritten receipt *sigh*

A friend suggested I open up a dispute? But I think cancelling the transaction might be easiest and just eat up the fees/potential bad feedback.

I wish eBay/paypal would sort out this catch-22 situation! Thanks all for taking the time to respond.

I'd refund and take the neg. collection only doesn't mean 'I'll deliver' if she wants it delivered tell her she can pay postage via tracked means. If not its cash on collection only.

If the buyer has asked you to deliver, then use that for the basis of cancelling. Refund, block, cancel and wait.

If she declines the cancellation, ring eBay. Explain that she wanted something not included in the listing (delivery). Ask them to reimburse the selling fees.

If she leaves a negative, then ring again and explain using that key phrase - something not included in the listing- it may be a battle but should be removed.

    I've taken theonlywayisup's advice.

    Her reply:

"seems I have to report you to ebay!"

:/ I don't think there is any point in replying!

Put her on your block bidder list.
Refund her money and then tell her its cash on collection ONLY.

If she either leaves a neg or doesn;t collect within a few days (or whatever time scale you agree) contact ebay and they will remove any bad feedback she leaves and will also refund your ebay fees.

Just to update you. The buyer left neg feedback after her last message. I called eBay and the gave me a final value fee credit with no problem. Then I had to fill in a feedback revision request, which the buyer declined straight away. Phoned eBay again to request the neg be removed, again there was no problem with this.

Thank you all so much for your help, I would have probably taken a hit with the fees/neg feedback otherwise.

Oh yes, and she's now on my blocked bidders list.

    That is good news.

I am thankful you have updated with your result as it helps others in the future.

Good luck with any future sales, let's hope they are easier.
