Question about PMs

I've had quite a few PMs from one user, who seems to be pretty new (they've only made 1 post).
First off they said they had a Body Shop voucher, and did I want it in exchange for some Daily Mail codes. I presumed they targeted me because I'd recently posted about the Body Shop.
I declined, saying that I'd just ordered from the Body Shop so wouldn't use it, and in any case I don't read the Daily Mail and wouldn't be prepared to buy it just for codes (I don't even know what these are, but anyway, that's largely irrelevant).
They were persistent, but I said no again and suggested starting a thread to trade if that's what they really wanted to do.
I then had another PM asking if I wanted an Amazon voucher they couldn't use (for some long-winded reason) in exchange for Daily Mail codes. This one doesn't seem logical in any way since I haven't mentioned using Amazon recently and I was very clear before about not having / being prepared to obtain any Daily Mail codes.
It could be a genuine individual who's just going about this in a daft way, but I'm concerned there might be something sinister behind it (though I can't for the life of me think of what).
Has anyone else had this?
Is this some scam I'm unaware of, or just a daft approach?

Hello Arlandria606
The forum rules say:
We are happy for forum users to share codes, however they are only allowed on the Discount Codes 'n Vouchers Board. They must be sourced and it must indicate who the code/voucher is targeted at. Any posts not meeting these rules are removed when reported and persistent posters banned from the site. It's only by doing this that we can protect people from legal action or breaching terms and conditions. Please don't private message other people requesting codes.
So...........in your position, I would report the member to the Forum Team via forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com
To help the Forum Team, give the name of the member (a link to their User Profile is best) and copy/paste the text from the private message into your email.
Here is a link to your User Profile:

It links to your name.............so change it to link to the member you're reporting.;)

I've received one today stating a ten pound poundland voucher in exchange for daily mail codes. I posted a grabbit on poundland early dec but have never mentioned daily mail.
When I clicked the report button I get an error saying page not found.
This is very weird.0 -

The report button on PMs does not work. Instead you need to email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com with a link to the user's profile and what you were PMd with.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

On my first post I mentioned Amazon and I received a PM a few hours later from someone asking me for daily mail codes in exchange for a £10 Amazon voucher, pretty sure it isn't legit and reported as spam.0 -
There is a user who continually rejoins and offers to swap made up vouchers and codes for daily mail codes that I am WELL aware of
They will not supply the codes or the vouchers will not be valid
They are doing random pm messages now as all the regular posters on the thread are aware of their antics and put them on ignore
Do not enter into any correspondence with them and put them on ignore
The forum team are aware of the user I am on about
please report them if they pm youEx forum ambassador

Thanks everyone.
As Browntoa says, please report them by emailing a copy of the PM including their username to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com

Just before Christmas I had 12 pm's within an hour from one poster asking me to pm a specific poster, telling me she needed the codes to buy her mother a breadmaker. I did ask for one code but then she badgered me incessantly to ask another poster, offered me a Tesco voucher in return. I refused because it felt underhanded. She said that none of the posters would send codes to a newbie.0
