Which monkey working for lloyds can't copy addresses down accurately?

That's like their core job skill. Accurate typing - I imagine they write sums and accounts down all day - one wrong digit and they f*** up bad.

Good job crooks didn't abuse the account by intercepting mail.

I gave their CC / collections department my new address, which looks similar to this anonymised format:

    123 Oakgrove
    Village Name
    PostTown
    AB12 3CD

I heard nothing back. I signed up to Noddle and saw the account with an address in this format:

    Darkgrove
    123 Village Name
    NearbyCity
    AB12 3DE

Ok so there are countless mistakes, no least the postcode. The most important bit is postcode and door number - everything else is immaterial.

I think you should still contact someone maybe it is too small of an issue for FSA. These should go on record to a regultor so they can keep tabs. Because bottom line - if it was sent to a address houses by someone dodgy who used the account to open a credit card account and spend money on. The debt would be in your name and the bank wouldn't give a damn about compensating you. They would deny responsibility and close the door on you.
  • Good points, I may look into that. It was a cluster!!!! waiting to happen really.
Darkgrove ? Sounds like someone had been reading too much Lord of the Rings lol
"Can't you have your ***** cut off ?" "It's not as simple as that, Nigel"

    That was my first thought!
If I had a large gothic house it would be a cool name for it :D

Wouldn't be the first time a bank had messed up.

I was unhappy with my local bank and got an account with a national bank. On the standing order transfer form they transposed two digits of my Debt Management Plan reference number, so an amount (I was trying to pay it off, so 500 quid!) was sent to the Debt Management company with a different number.
Only realised this when they phoned me and asked me why I hadn't paid. I tried to explain the situation. Then the next day someone else phoned. I tried to explain the situation. And so on, so forth, until eventually I sent them the entry on the bank statement that showed it going out but to the transposed reference number.
They then suggested a direct debit.
