Unknown Bank Account on Noddle File

Hello, I've just set up a Noddle account and everything is fine and dandy apart from a mystery bank account with Lloyds Bank, which apparently was started in May 2005. As far as I can remember I did apply for an account there but was declined, going instead to A&L (as was) and certainly never received anything from them to suggest I actually did have an account there.
I have queried it with Noddle but have not heard anything yet, so I was wondering if it was worth me going to my local Lloyds branch and asking them to check it. The records on the Noddle file show a balance of £0 since it was opened, so I don't think anything untoward has been done with the account, and my personal details are correct on it.
It only shows the last 4 digits of the account number, is there anything Lloyds can do with that ?
Advice greatly appreciated !
(This account doesn't show on my CredEx or Equifax files)

Take some ID with you and as much info as you can get and pop in. Its worth asking.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

I suppose it is worth a try just to see if it's genuine.
It's puzzling that it's still open, you'd expect a dormant account to have been closed in 9 years."Can't you have your ***** cut off ?" "It's not as simple as that, Nigel"

Yes it is odd, you would have also expected maybe a statement in the post.0

Good point. I've had nothing, not a scooby in 9 years. I'll see what they can find out in the branch."Can't you have your ***** cut off ?" "It's not as simple as that, Nigel"

But the account is still open according to Noddle as opposed to closed?0 -
Yes, updated to November 2013 with £0 and a green blob. It's not in the "settled" section, it's right above my Santander current account on the list."Can't you have your ***** cut off ?" "It's not as simple as that, Nigel"

UPDATE !
Went into my Lloyds Bank branch today to query it, and it turns out they DID give me an account back in 2005 but because they had my address down incorrectly, all the bumf and the statements went to a different address, and eventually it went into "dormancy mode." There hasn't been any activity on the account since it opened, so obviously no identity theft risk, although that could easily have happened.
Let this be a lesson to all---check all your credit files !!

Yes I will be, they've reactivated it ! I suppose it'll be handy if I ever have to change banks, at least I'll have somewhere to go"Can't you have your ***** cut off ?" "It's not as simple as that, Nigel"

Which monkey working for lloyds can't copy addresses down accurately?
That's like their core job skill. Accurate typing - I imagine they write sums and accounts down all day - one wrong digit and they f*** up bad.
Good job crooks didn't abuse the account by intercepting mail.
I would complain to the FSA about this. You were lucky statements and cards bounced back to the bank - but it might not have done and cost you a fortune in identity fraud. Not sure why you are happy about getting a new bank account!0
