    it is definitely NOT a fine , never was , never will be

    its a parking charge notice, an invoice

    as for being "bang to rights" , you have no proof of this

    if they ticketed you, then they must have a contract to do so, signage has to be clear, the area covered must also be clealy defined , also the charge for this ticket has to be a genuine pre-estimate of loss, typically £12 according to the OFT

    so do you have grounds for appeal ? - yes , obviously

    if this had been a letter through your door , would you want proof that it was valid before paying it ? what if it said £1000 was owed ? would you pay it then ?

    put search terms into the forum search in the green banner (top right) and you can check for similar threads or events

    this forum has plenty of tools you can use, but you have to click on them and actually use them
