I feel that is quite enough for now , so please "get on with it"

its a soft appeal after all, the biggie is if you get a popla code and then you need a really good popla appeal that is focussed on the usual major legalities (no gpeol , no contract , bad signage)
  • Yes, I agree with RedX, that is good, don't worry too much about the NGP appeal, they will reject whatever you write, the important thing is to get a POPLA code out of them.

Do however complain in the strongest possible terms to Costco.

And have to agree with CM, Bath is a lovely city, I remember being fascinated by a shop where they made chocolate/toffee right there is the shop and showed the customers how it was done.

  • I sent my appeal letters to NGP, Costco, Asda and PMG Ltd (Landowners) on 20 January. Asda and PMG said that they would get in touch with NGP to try and cancel the parking charge. Costco were not helpful at all. However, I still have not heard anything from NGP and it is over 35 days since I sent my appeal letter. Does that mean that no news is good news? Is there anything else that I should be doing?

    Thanks

Today would be day 35 I think, counting from the day they would have been deemed to have received the letter, if posted on 20th Jan. And the 35 days isn't a game-changer so wait a bit longer to see if they finally write to cancel it or not.

Mail sent by first class post is deemed to have been delivered 2 business days after being posted (unless of course NGP prove to the contrary). That suggests they have precious little time within which to comply with the CoP. Not a game changer but another nail in the coffin.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
