UKPC, missed that it is no longer ignore

The entry signs are small and mostly unreadable from a car entering the carpark, they are also next to a MASIVE sign with the list of retailers.
on one entry there is also a pedestrian crossing so drivers should not be looking at the signs.
Most of the ticket machines do not have any signs close enough to be obvious and the relevent righting is also not readable.
need to check what is on the actual machines.
UKPC signs are a joke anyway - entry signage not compliant with BPA COP and all the others are really high up with small writing.Found the original PCN.
The issue time and first seen time are the same, so no leeway as required by the code of practice.
Yes that sounds very familiar (from personal experience) - used UKPC's
"evidence" and turned it against them at POPLA as part of appeal - UKPC failed to supply any evidence not even the PCN - so won on default. Now issuing a counterclaim against them for breach of Equality Act.
How have you got on with the complaints to the retailers on the site or managing agents as this may be the quickest way to get this cancelled. Remember they enagaged UKPC who do are merely agents providing "car parking management" (mismanagement) services and that UKPC gain all their revenue by the issue of these charges so they are not a genuine pre-estimate of loss for any alleged breach. (Their FAQ was a godsend and included in my appeal also)
A debt can be pursued for up to six years through the courts so IMO it would be better to get this cancelled by any way you can.0 -
Update time.
So the first Zenith letter offer the discount for 14 days and insists it will revert to the higher amount if not paid.
They send another begging letter with another 7 days....
Decided to just let this run since it seems that if they try the court route we can get them into POPLA with a no gpeol at that time.0 -

Erm ... NO? There's no guarantee that this could be reverted to POPLA stage once court stage is reached. Then again, whilst there's no guarantee that UKPC will not proceed to court, the probability is very high.0 -
Another update,
Been a while since the second Zenith letter the 7 days have passed and some, no sign of any follow up yet...
I will come back if we get further communication but for now this UKPC remains unpaid, posts suggest this is the end of their current process.
................................
I would recommend that people nip these in the bud early with a POPLA appeal, it will save the risk of further hassle if they decide to resurect later and not take much more time than updating a thread on here if you let it run the course through the DR+ and Zenith letters.0 -
Update....
Like others are reporting looks like the 2 Zenith letters are not the end of the chain for UKPC for those at that stage might find this one comes after about a month.
It is back to a new DR+ letter that looks like a dressed up LBA scare letter to try to get people to respond to the advice to ignore UNLESS you get a letter before action.
plenty of other examples if searched.
This is the "Letter before referral for legal action"
Note: DR+ can't take legal action, this is not a letter before action just another that says if you ignore they will refer it back to UKPC, why did they not do it last time or the time before will they do it his time......
have DR+ changed the headed notepaper this looks different, the others are filed so not to hand to check?
Back to waiting for the next one
..........
Thinking -
what are the company trading names
DR+,
Zenith,
Parking collections services(trading style of with own company regitration) ?
any others ?
Why are they a Member of the BPA and an Approved Operator?0 -
Yep they've just changed their headed notepaper to a pretty red block 'DRP' Lettering - impressed? NOPE.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Another update to keep the event record complete.
Not a lot to say other than after the DR+ letter we now have 2 more from Zenith, duplicates of the previous ones.
Wonder what will come next.0 -

I've never had more than 5 (out of 4 encounters) - if you've got three more, congratulations! However, if they do bring DR+ into the sequence!
Ii begs the question that their credibility has been shattered, and for Zenith to contradict them selves within the chain just shows what a bunch of speculative tosses they really are!0
