UKPC > DRP > Zenith Begging Letter Chain

My motorbike was parked up on a pavement within a shopping centre car park, and UKPC stuck a ticket on it. I've no plans to deal with these cretins (it was issued in Scotland) but you may be interested in the letter chain and the dates between them:

07FEB14 - Ticket
11APR14 - DRP: Demand for Payment (£140)
28APR14 - DRP: Notice of intended court action (£140)
12MAY14 - DRP: Reduced Payment Offer (£112)
05JUN14 - Zenith: Debt Recovery Assignment (£80)
16JUN14 - Zenith: Notice of intention to commence legal proceedings (£80)

That completes the usual range of 5 begging letters, should they plan to waste more money by writing another, I'll append the details here.

I was issued a parking charge by Gemini Parking Solutions, my car was parked at work whilst I was on shift.

I have now received a letter from Zenith Collections - notice of debit recovery assignment informing me the outstanding balance is £150.00
The letter reads they are prepared to accept a reduced settlement figure £59.99.!
I need to pay this amount within 14 days to avoid necessity and expense of legal action!

I would really appreciate advice on this matter as this has really frightened me

No you don't need to pay. You should have appealed and beaten them that way - as you missed that chance you are just experiencing the same tedious old letter chains we've ignored for an entire decade! They are just letters, theses firms are not bailiffs and there is no effect on credit rating.
