Morning all; I'm online early (for me) today!
TTFTM now you've got your first week out of the way, have a lovely relaxing weekend, and hopefully next week will be easier – always hardest the first week in a new job, methinks.:o
Bluesky welcome; you'll fit in well here, we're big on helping each other, even if it's just with a few words of encouragement. Hope your mum has a good birthday.:o
I agree about it'd be nice if everyone had good manners, and helped each other – I was at the cinema Tuesday, and the group of “young ladies” in front of us let the door swing back on me when it was time to leave; this always seems to happen these days. Luckily the chap just behind us saw, and nipped in to grab it before it hit me:o – my DH was pushing my wheelchair up the exit slope, so was powerless to do anything; if he'd let go the chair, it'd have gone careening back down the slope; and I'm no longer strong enough to stop the door by holding out my stick as I used to.
Mrs MH I hope your youngest enjoys his dins!:o
EG I can sympathise with your DS; when I was a kid, I thought being sick was absolutely the worst thing in the world that could ever happen – and it happened a lot til I became vegetarian when I was 16; hope the poor lad can get some help to overcome this.:o
RR – I hope Lyla's paw is ok; Penny-Dog used to get little cuts and abrasions sometimes; I used to bathe the affected paw in tepid salt water. Bless her, she was always so good about having it done (probably the prospect of one of her stinky fishy treats afterwards helped!) Anyways, paw-healing vibes on the way.:o
I have a list of things that want doing, but my wrists are very painful and swollen right now (the left one has started making a weird grating sound, and feels really strange when I move it) so not sure if I'll actually get much done; I guess it'll be a case of “suck it and see” iyswim.;)
ETA Bitsy sorry, I missed seeing your post, don't know how; hope Luna is ok - best watch what she's attempting to pick up while she's out.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Morning all,
Where does the time go? Cant believe its Friday already.:(
Love the name Bluesky1. Its definitely a lovely blue sky where I live today. Its fairly mild too though I believe there is snow on the horizon.
Rosyred. I'm with you on manners. Whats more they are free!DS told me to go f*^k myself this morning. He's 8
I'm fine. Just keeping busy in the house and stuff. Went shopping yesterday for a dress. Couldn't find a nice femine dress with sleeves anywhere. I ended up showing more interest in the underwear than the dresses. Im a sucker for nice undies and makeup.
Came home without buying anything (that's a first).
Tea will be fish I think... but then again, I might change my mind.

Just nipping back in whilst having a cuppa
Been on a role this morning, washing line is full, beds changed, house hoovered all through, bathroom scrubbed and ironing all done and put away.
Think I'll have a nose on here, have lunch then get in the bath before the school run. then dh will be home around 5, ds is off to beavers this eve, because he has just turned 8 he will be welcomed into the cubs tonight so that is another uniform we are going to have to buy next week, dh did say we should sell his beaver one to raise funds to go towards his new one but I want to keep it for his memory box, so I'll start listing a few bits on eb@y over the weekend to try to raise funds.
Hope your all having a good day so far. xG.C July £21.09/£1000 -
Morning All,
Had a big long post yesterday that disappeared! Was so annoyed I couldn't be bothering retyping it.
Julie - glad to hear you got home yesterday and hope you are soon on the mend. SIL got home too and op seems to have helped. She had to get home as "the lunatics in the asylum" were making that much noise at night she couldn't sleep.
Bluesky1 - welcome, you sound lovely and I'm sure you will fit in very well.
Donny-gal - oh dear doesn't sound good. BIG HUGS.
OH is still feeling poorly and I am doing my best to keep her chin up. I keep on threatening to take her to the vet to get put down! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Spent yesterday afternoon setting up a new wi-fi printer, old one had stopped picking up paper. Can't complain it was a freebie prize and about 7-8 years old. We can now print from computer, iPAD and iPhones.
Overcast and showery here, but I have to get to the Post Office.
Have a good day everyone :beer:0 -

Afternoon all
Back from work, there is a lorry at the end of the road pumping the water away.
I need to collect DGD1 at 4:30, take her to gym then bring her home to stay the night, then swap her for DGD2 at lunchtime tomorrow for a couple of hours.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Afternoon all.
What a busy couple of days, what happened to restful days off????
I seem to have washed the entire contents of DS bedroom, have stripped all the beds today, done a mountain of ironing, been shopping, made soup, stew and have a piri piri marinaded chicken ready to take out of the oven. That lot will keep us going over the weekend as I'm working, so fridge needed filling with enough till Tuesday!
Maybe now I can sit and relax with my kindle for a wee while!
Welcome Bluesky!
Hugs to all who need one, I have been feeling a bit needy myself the past few days, which no doubt explains the hectic days, taking my mind off myself!!!!RIP Iain

DH made his calls and I have sorted out tons (well, some) papers so my files are up to date and tidy. Once he got going he got into the groove and there were bits of paper flying about.
We wrote appointments on the calendar too, as well as into my Organised Home diary so we should be sorted for a while:TI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0
