To be honest Googles new algorithms probably mean that you shouldn't be deleting spam links but rather move them to a specific thread/board for spam.

The more spam links Google bots find apparently the lower the site they point too sinks in Google search results, which is nice

Just noticed that.

The original only works with vB 3.6, and the new one only vB 4.x. This forum is 3.8.7, so no working version as far as I can see?

Im trying to see what version the other forum has.
it used to be linked on the home page,seems no more
Edit: running 3.8.7 once I remembered how to access developer tools on the browser
So must have a working version

So I wonder if that is a tweaked 3.6.x or 4.x version then that someone has got to work, or if there is actually a version that works with 3.8 out of the box? Can't find an official thread for one at the moment, but the vBulletin forums are not easy to find things on?

Spambot currently active on the Credit file board. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/member.php?u=2253375 Now as I'm online, I can zap em. If I wasn't then that would be more spam clogging up the boards.

But I can't stop the little !!!!!! posting more. With that hack I could stop them in their tracks.

Yup,Im sure I have posted in the past about it.
I know the usual we dont have mods line comes out.
However from a legal standing,all you would be doing is removing posts. So no legal as such.
To show how well it work,we had one slip through the net a few weeks ago and members weren't used to seeing it. there were dozens of reports as no mod was online for a couple of hours
