Is this similar to a misprice when buying online that the contract isnt accepted to dispatch as then what is the correct thing.
To be honest it was too good to be true just have already planned weekend around it i.e 2nd night in another hotel nearby
The hotel says they tried to ring but had no missed calls and I dont feel like they should lose out but at the same time I paid in advance for the room and did no wrong, I just assumed someone had cancelled and instead of having room empty they charged less than its worth.
Oh forgot to say the options are pay the real price or accept a cancellation.

What do the hotels terms and conditions say?0 -
They do not have to accept the lower mis price0

They do not have to accept the lower mis price
That depends.
It would seem an unfair term if the hotel were able to cancel a booking due to an error in price on their part, but a customer could not cancel a wrongly booked room.
(Not saying that is the case here - just that it's not quite a black and white issue).0 -
A decent bussness would accept they did something wrong and take the hit. Name the hotel so we know about them.Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0

How did you book the hotel?
Less serious question: since they are a business and obviously making too much money, have you considered suing them for distress? (That's the advice some on here will give you)1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
Using? Typo and should be Suing?0
