    Sometimes that's what's needed because the police domestic abuse unit will then get involved - seeing other people's reactions to your abuser's behaviour can be the first time that a person realises how wrong the relationship has become.

    As well as talking things through with Women's Aid, you can also contact her police service and explain your concerns and her fear of him.
