Equifax Fundamental - What shall we say? - Lack of Usefulness as a CRA?
Comments
-
Banks and the CRA are different type of organisations with different aims, however they are useful to each other. PPI is nothing to do with the storage of account informationRegarding your issues you have had have you followed the companies involved complaints procedure? Have you followed this up with the FOS or ICO? have you spoken to your MP?
Or are you just being a keyboard warrior?
I have followed my own procedures which in some respects have overlapped but in many have clashed and with good reason.
Nope, I don't think I could stomach calling FOS and then having to detail it all again to them only to have them look at my individual case and add their conclusion on it alone to a pile of statistics! ICO? Don't make me laugh! MP? I am sure they have plenty enough on their plate as individuals.
Nope, this way works for me. Thanks MSE :money:
Yes if you like you can simply note or you can denigrate my efforts by calling me a keyboard warrior on a leading consumer interests website. In 2014 it can be strongly argued that it is part of FOS, ICO and MPs responsibility to read MSE in order to remain informed of what is going on - hadn't you realised ? :rotfl:0 -
So you haven't followed the documented process and then moaned that nothing has been done?0

So No.
Follow the procedures of the CRA's you are complaining about and stop moaning.
It is pathetic, there are processes in place to deal with certain issues you have and you point blank refuse to use them. You can not complain things won't change if you won't use the defined processes open to you. It is s boring to see the same thread complaining about the same thing every two minutes especially from the same person.0 -

I didn't realise there was one for monumental c¤ck-ups !
Climb down off your silly pedestal. Process-men in corporates are creeps.
I am a problem-solver. I am so adept at solving problems that I spend little money or sleep on it and consequently have few grey hairs!
I do unhappily for some, also highlight problems that other problem-solvers should bloody well get on and solve. I sometimes suggest it gently, and sometimes I tell them in no uncertain terms.
You may have noted from my post yesterday on the Experian's Fundamental Breach of DPA1998 thread that certain things have changed on my Experian file (which was the one CRA correction I wanted where I did not follow their procedure because I wanted them to wake up to general failures and fix them all, not just mine) so now they say I have a perfect credit score, the fraudulent agreement has vanished AND they have noted the CIFAS registration. You may have also noted that nothing yet has changed on the CallCredit file that I can see despite me reporting the need for a correction directly to them twice, no CIFAS registration shows, and of course nothing has changed on my Equifax Alerts account because they were oblivious to the fraudulent application and again to the CIFAS registration!0 -
This guy really does live in a complete world of his own lol0

Looks like someone forgot to take their medication this morning
VoI might be a muppet, but you appear to be incapable of being out and about in civilized society.
Post reported, I expect this is the last we'll hear from "confused" for a while.0 -
Yes Ant.Evs, check out your rear view mirror - there is something following your tail again. Seems to have a thing about things.0

Well if this is making you happy and makes you think it will change things then crack on.
But there is better places to start a crusade0 -
Some of you think my posts are boring.
I just spent an extremely boring ten minutes on the line to Equifax in the Philippines I think judging from the accent. It was like talking to a badly programmed computer, one that regurgitated a limited number of scripts repeatedly and was unable to match a customer's requests or enquiries with a correct script
I had logged in to my Equifax Alert account this morning as I have done almost every day in the last couple of weeks to see if they yet have a not of the CIFAS registration on my name and address. It is the third day since I was able to see it on my Experian Credit Report (it took an age for the bank to register it, but at least when they did, Experian were able to see it.
Well this morning I could not pass first base with Equifax online. This morning it seems my free reports are exhausted and they want £5.99 each time from now on.
So I called. After much beating about the bush they consented to generate a new report today from their end. Still no CIFAS registration - and it is now I think getting on for 80 days since the fraud occurred.
I am waiting for a callback from someone who will answer my request to set my account for free reports anytime I want them until they get it right.0 -
Equifax customer service...oh dear, I know it well.
I don't think there's much chance of you getting free reports from them anytime soon...check your bank account, they may already have taken £5.99 from you."Can't you have your ***** cut off ?" "It's not as simple as that, Nigel"
