Afternoon everyone
Again at work, so no OSing for me. Girls are going to a tea party after school, so that will save on whatever mum cooks them for dinner. Think we grownups are having omelette for dinner as there are mushroom, peppers and tomatoes in the fridge that need eating and I couldn’t think what else to cook with them.
Realised I’ve forgotten my packet of crisps today and I’m too tight (and lazy) to go to the shops, so at least that will help on the old diet.
Saturday will be money saving as well. Been invited out to a restaurant for an early dinner with the girls in order to meet my brother’s new girlfriend. Personally, I think my parents, me and my children all meeting her at the same time for the first time is a bit much, but hey dad’s paying for the meal, so I may as well go. I was invited after all! And I’ve found a 20% voucher which I shall give to my dad as it all helps, right?! Even if brother’s new gf thinks we are being tight, haha.
Tomorrow I need a super quick meal for the girls as it’s my eldest first time at Rainbows and it doesn’t finish till 5.30pm. They will be starving!
I’m not actually feeling tired at the moment, but I feel for anyone who hasn’t been sleeping well as I know how that feels. My girls are actually staying in bed till the alarm these days and I can’t decide what is worse. Trying to drag them from their slumber or them waking me up at 5am. At least with the latter, I can just lie there and doze while they clatter around in their room or watch the telly in my room.
But I’m not feeling tired cos I’m still off the booze. Feel so much better for it, sometimes I wonder why I bother drinking at all. But no doubt, I will start wanting wine soon and all resolve will be gone again!
Tenyearstogo – hope your son is better soon.
Snoozer – you can get chickenpox twice?! Noooo! My girls had it when they were 2years and the other one 4months old (at the same time!!). The younger one was absolutely covered, felt so sorry for her as she was so young.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Pollyanna, I don't think it's very usual. DD was 10 months old and had a very mild dose which she passed on to DH who was very ill with it but then he gave it back to her and she had a much heavier dose the second time. I can only assume that she had such a mild dose that she didn't build up enough antibodies against it before she was exposed again. It wasn't a fun time!0

Evening everyone,
Sorry to hear many are still having trouble sleeping. I spent a good 9 hours in bed last night but still didn't have the best night. I'm physically tired (even more so after a very busy day at work) but clearly my brain won't switch off
sistercas - hope your MIL enjoyed her day out, that sounds like exactly the sort of present I would love!
Julie - I hope you managed to make it home today, I'm sure that will help your recovery. Just got to the end of the thread - so glad you made it back and that you're being well looked after
luxor4t - great news about your DH, I hope 2014 is a good year for you both
stressedoutmumof1 - welcome back!
JackieO - I have been inspired reading about your NSDs so am determined to have as many as I can this year. I have not bought anything since last Friday - well I did download some music but that was using a voucher I got for Christmas so technically free too!
Finished off the chicken this evening and now have enough bones for a soup so hope to make that fairly soon.
Hope those who have lost their mojo find it again, and those who are feeling down or poorly find something to make them smile.

Evening all
Still wet here but hopefully it will get drier soon.
Fairly busy at work, I prefer it that way as the day passes quicker.
We had fish in cheese sauce with mash & peas for tea & there is enough leftover for lunch tomorrow.
Have good evening everyone.
