Credit limit reduced, my fault or the bank?

Options
My husband has a credit card, we moved house 6 months ago and changed our address ( and have attempted to do so an additional 3 times) and the bank still send all statements to the old address. Husband went working away for 6 months. I was late with 2 payments as I had no statement or reminder and they have now reduced his credit limit. Who is at fault them or us?

Any advice greatly welcome.

    Both.
    Bank's fault is pretty clear.
You knew about the problem, but ignored telephone/online banking. Outlook or any web-based calendar do reminders perfectly.
And what's a problem with setting a DD for a minimum payment at least?

Yeah missing payments when you know you have a balance is your fault.

You are responsible for your credit card statement whether you receive it not. The banks only responsibility is to send a statement out which may or may not reach you.

So its the fault of the bank not to update your address.

Its the fault of yourself for missing payments.

The onus is on the customer to pay their bill on time!

all correct, but a little bit harsh..
i think it is reasonable to expect a bank to update your address details properly and in a timely fashion. i would be in the branch complaining (assuming you have a current account with them too) about it, insisting that they correct the address immediately and asking them for a credit to cover the missed payments, asking them to update records so nothing adverse is on file, and setting up a DD for the minimum payment to ensure that this can't happen again.
then, and importantly, making a plan to clear the balance altogether.

whether the bank will increase the limit again is another matter, and perhaps not too important.
