refund for custom made shirts

I ordered some custom made shirts online, and they arrived yesterday, but I am not happy with them. Can I send them back for a refund? Or, because they are custom made, is that option not available to me?

Why aren't you happy with them? Just a change of mind or not what was described? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

A change of mind to be honest, I remembered seeing somewhere that if you order things online you can get your money back within 7 days, but I didn't know if it applied to custom made objects.0

Even leaving the legal part to one side, it's not really fair to order a custom product they couldn't resell and return it anyway.0

The DSRs do apply to custom items, but the regulation that gives the right you're referring to (to cancel for a full refund) doesn't.
Unless agreed otherwise of course - but I've never personally heard of a custom item retailer doing so for just change of mind.
When you say customised, were they actually made to your specifications/embroidered or something along those lines? Or just selecting from available options? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

Im intrigued. As far as I was aware you couldnt return under the DSR:
the supply of goods made to the consumer’s own
specification such as custom-made blinds or curtains.
This exception does not apply to upgrade options such as
choosing alloy wheels when buying a car, or a combination
of standard-off-the shelf components when ordering a PC
What part of the DSR's are you referring to that apply to custom made items?

Every other regulation other than regulation 10 (the right to cancel). Custom made goods are listed under regulation 13 - which is exceptions to the right to cancel (or regulation 10 if you prefer).
ETA: Or are you asking what benefit DSRs can give a custom made order? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
If the website that you bought them from is based in the Far East, the DSRs won't apply in any case.0

The DSR's specify lots of things for distance contracts. For example any contract that is not performed in the agreed time scale is treated as if it never existed, and unless agreed otherwise that timescale will be 30 days. This applies to all goods, even those excempt from unconditional cancellation.0
