backing up an iphone
My DD has to take her iphone in on Sat to Apple as its running slow and they said she may get a new phone so to back it up beforehand.
Itunes doesn't install on our computer as it just keep bringing error messages up. Wev tried forums and its an error some get and u just can't install.
Can she back up to some 'cloud' or suchlike? She says not and I'm a BB girl so have no idea.
I wud have thought Apple cud transfer from one fone to a new one but apparently not. Its more songs she will loose.
Can anyone advise please?

She can back up to the cloud, plus her apple ID will have all her apps, music etc so she can download them again on her new phone without a charge.0

Thanks for that.
Is there a way we can get her photo's off too? She said she's about 500.......Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
Assuming it's a Windows PC then when you plug the iPhone in it will be recognised as a camera.
If you have 500 photos, lots of music and apps my guess is that the phone is full, that would explain slow running.
If the photos are taken off (and perhaps some apps and music) the situation should improve without a trip to the Apple store.
Apple will reset the phone to "as new" and it will work.
Anything you have previously bought via iTunes will be available again without further charge. If you have music from other sources (for example Amazon or CD rips) then it will be your problem to re-load it.0 -
depending on what network you are with they may do it for you?
O2 have O2 Guru and the Guru in the store I work in will transfer the data over for you.
Carphone Warehouse have Geek Squad.0 -
to check regarding photos - goto settings, Photos & Camera and see if 'My Photo Stream' is enabled - as this will ensure photos are backed up to the cloud when the phone is on charge with a wifi signal...
also check settings, icloud to see if photos is on there aswell..
apps such as dropbox, skydrive \ windows apps can upload photos from the camera..
Facebook also has an options to upload your pictures to there servers - but doesn't make the pictures publicly accessible..0
