Can I buy my Broadband Up Front?

I'm considering getting home Broadband, but I'm wary of signing up to a monthly contract, in case my circumstances should take a turn for the worse.
To this end, could I take out a BB service, paying for the whole period, and the Line Rental, at the beginning?

I have not heard of a pay up front broadband service and some providers (Sky since mid December) have discontinued the line rental saver, now.
You could put away the sum you would have paid in advance, then draw on it as required.0
