redfraggle wrote: »Hi all, convelscing continuing and really enjoying not having to skip so much! Have persuaded OH to take me to M&S later. Anyway, may be my only trip out this weekend and want to load up on the £10 meal deal. I didnt buy any wine when i used my coupons earlier this week and wondered whether I need to do anything given i will have to have staff authorise my wine purchase? I was hoping to load it all in the trolley, but do two separate shops so i'll look a bit odd as it is (my store isnt very busy but has SS because its a brand new store). Any advice/ experiences very welcome. I'm relatively brazen so I dont mind encountering staff but forewarned is forearmed! TIA
A few suggestions:
- do one shop at SS till, then the other shop at manned till, just give SA the vouchers or put them on belt before he\she presses Total; that should mean two different SAs authorising the wine purchases; several reports on here of people using manned tills without a problem
- take trolley, put hand basket in it, put everything into trolley but divide into the two shops, one into basket and the rest just in the trolley, take basket out and leave trolley with OH while you do the basket shop, take shopping bags to OH to leave with him while you take trolley shopping through
- as above, but with two hand baskets, taking through one at a time ... then send OH to get trolley to put shopping bags in, while you wait
- if SA on SS till queries why you're going through twice, just say something like, "OH just told me that we're meant to be doing the shopping for his/her* Mum ... Men/Women*, what are they like, eh?"
*depending on sex of OH:)'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Colour only working for me too.....I refused the sub on the S&G, but that stayed on the APG....worth knowing for future reference.
Thanks to Squigs for the Ariel tip...I know it did not work out as well as we had all hoped, but that is always the risk, but for me, part of the fun.....I appreciate that glitches are shared.
It has been an exhausting morning so far...after C&C at A's, then shot over to M7S, nice lot of food for £6...(thanks Tiger).....then to M's for cheap petrol (coupons gained when buying 3v cards, a while ago ).....2 bags of shopping using £10 Sun+ M's voucher...then back home to wait for W delivery this afternoon.....phew! Glitching is a full-time job. xKeep Moving 2018 challenge.
