I just had a text from my wife to say that she wants to meet up for a chat, but no one else in her family are to know about it! in case it cause's an argument!
What do I do? I know I need to to tell her to grow some sort of backbone, but if her family find out there'll be hell to pay.
I'm at such a loss as to what to do!!
Hi scamps I hope you are well. if you do want to speak to her I would not meet her I would ask her to ring you. if she is scared of her family finding out this way she can go for a walk and call you. I am with others who have said to keep you and your house safe. You have to work out what you want first.Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.0 -
I think that if someone comes from a family like that it takes a hell of a lot of balls to go behind their back and meet you, she must really really want to, just sayin!
I do agree with the others though, there is nothing wrong with meeting in a neutral place with a witness. I really hope she surprises you pleasantly xxx0 -
Only you can decide but whatever you decide tell her family to kiss your !!!!;)Sunshinemummy wrote: »Two options
1. Tell her to F off
2. Go to see her, but make sure you take a witness... last thing you want is a false allegation being made and I would not trust anyone of them at the moment xx
It's a long standing thing. Her parents hate me and I don't like them, It's mutual. I still love my wife though.0 -
oh scamps honey
You will know yourself. You are worth more than being a secret honey.
I remember when my husband asked me if he could see me again after our first date. I replied seeing ? As in holding hands on the high st ?
Yes of course he said
lots of love xxxxx0 -

Hi CookieRaider now I really have freezer envy. I wish I lived next door to you:rotfl::rotfl:Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.0 -
I've been having a paperwork sort-out today, and now have a file for my glitches and bargains. This is just for previous bargains, not current ones (those go on the noticeboard), it's somewhere to store the receipts, which I like to keep. Does anyone else do that?
While sorting out the receipts, I came across my first ever bargain shop, from November 2011 (I know, such a noob:o), three pairs of gloves at 4 pence a pair. I was all nostalgic when I found it.
It's all thanks to work colleague JemB that I'm here. I was fascinated when she told me that she'd bought a casserole dish at Mr T for 4 pence, and I wanted to know more. The rest is history!:)
Just out of interest, JemB is expecting her first born any day now. She will be over on the Pregnancy Club thread more often than not nowadays, but just in case she's here - hello JemB:wave:'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Scamps, whether you decide to meet her or not, tell her that you do want to meet her.
If you have no intention of going, arrange for a meeting with an independent professional at your house at that time. Social worker, Doctor, Victim Support, Insurance assessor etc should do. The point is that if herself or relatives show up when they think you're not in then you will have witness in the house, whose word the court will take over her's, plus the text message to prove she was expecting you to be out of the house.
If you do intend on meeting her..... then emmap seems to have the right idea + video cams?0
