On the subject of speed limits, I do wish the government would allow those lorries over 7.5t to use their own judgement and not limit them to 40mph on A roads. I have many miles to do each day, often stuck behind several tail to tail artics, with very few safe overtaking places (and of course, that's where the speed traps are always set up), and over most of those miles, an artic could very safely do 60mph as well.

Just a final comment from me on this subject. I saw the mention of 'tail to tail', which made me think, off tangent, about tail-gating. Not same thing, but at least it's easier I suppose if you are in a lorry and a car tail-gates you. But, if you are in a car (or even on a motorcycle)...:(:(

I've been AWOL most of day, catch up on today's highs and lows, later
enjoying country file while eating my sausages - youngest son is going to the Cairngorms next weekend

Hope everyone has had a good glitching day :D

Glitchy, glitchy, glitchy:D. No glitch, but did better even without any being on for me.:)

Cadbury Brunch Raisin 93p at M (according to m.com as at earlier today). £1.98 in A. Was hoping there would be a mix-and-match mbuy:(.

    The APG looks at barcodes.

Different flavours would have different barcodes to distinguish them for each other, so yes, your APG would see 2 different items.

Assuming that both are in the msm (apg) database. If not, if only one is on a.com/msm(?), it's possible the other one would act as a trigger if used in the right way and if it has the right pricing set-up in Mr A.:rotfl:

Looking for subtle changes in the APG t&cs earlier (as I periodically do). I noticed the old Xmas/New Year dates for M still there. Only change I spotted (I don't remember this here before - perhaps it was?) is cond. 3 - occasionally you may have to wait till after 6am the day after shopping.

I've also noticed another thing (I doubt this is the way it will work in practice though:rotfl:) that (in theory) arises from these two rules:

    30. If a customer has performed a Check, received a voucher and then returned one of the items that was part of the Check, the voucher will be invalid.

    31. If a voucher has been redeemed from a receipt, the value of any refund given due to the return of an item on that receipt will be offset against the value of the redeemed voucher.

So, according to cond. 30, if you return the trigger item, you'll be fine as the voucher remains valid and still applies, as the trigger isn't "one of the items that was part of the Check". However, according to cond. 31, it seems you need to return it before the APG voucher has been redeemed.

I doubt any of this theory works in the practical implementation!:D

(Otherwise, get someone else, who wasn't a customer of Mr A, to perform a Check in the first place for you!:rotfl::rotfl: And they can then let you "receive" the voucher.)

Having been tailgated by a lorry on strange (to us), unlit road, I can promise you it's not nice

On the other side of the coin, driving a 40ft long bus and having a bike or scooter tailgate you Is no joke either- you can hear them but you can't see them and if you had to brake suddenly for any reason, well, it doesn't bare thinking about :(

16/17 year olds on their scooters are the worst offenders for that :mad:

On top of my chest freezer in my garage i have a car trolly jack!:rotfl:

I get very annoyed if anyone dumps anything on top of the chest freezers  Nothing worse than having to clear everything off before I can even get in to them.
People in my house can't seem to see a flat surface without wanting to pile stuff on it!:rotfl:

Yum just had a Tosco finest cottage pie for dinner, should have been £7 (:eek::eek:) but yellow sticker £1, and it was lovely, but I would never be able to pay £7 for a cottage pie!

Anyway, I know this type of shop is controversial around here but half price tomorrow at T:

Bakers Dental Delicious Large Chicken 270G
Better Than Half Price Was £2.09 ...
    Will be £1.

Useless to me as an unfortunately dogless person :(, but could be useful to someone else.

    I could give you a dog! :D:D
