I got two anyway, but could only fit one in the freezer, so the steak we had planned was demoted to tomorrow. Looking forward to that :cool:Really excited and happy that you are all getting these totes amazeball deals at Tosco. I never seem to find any but hey ho. Well done everyone.
Do you have scanners at your Tosco? If I only trusted the stickers on things in the clearance section at mine, I wouldn't have found any either.0 -

I think this topic has to be raised as it is terrible that an officer would stand there and try to trick people through lights just to get commission for the ticket they can then write out for jumping the lights! It's a police state and a letter should be sent straight away to the Chief Constable for that area. With reference to going through a red light when an ambulance is coming, the price of a ticket is actually a small price to pay for saving a life. Unless its a conspiracy between the ambulance service and the police to generate more income for the government! Sorry but I should have started with no offence, to make whatever I write acceptable, yes?
Hi there, thanks for your reply!
I wasn't "tricked" through the lights though. And no ticket was ever written. I think the officer was directing traffic, quite appropriately, round an obstruction - although they directed me through when the lights, for me, were on red.
No harm caused, as pragmatic approach, to comply with the officer, was in the event:o, followed.:)0 -
Evening all
Many happy returns of the day MHOC.
Agree with Anon, T's finest burgers are rather tasty, and even better that I could use on Orchard voucher on them, making them 12 for £2.50Very little fat came out, struggled to get by onions fried in the same pan!
The thins coupon wouldn't scan at T's, but CS refunded it.
Westvleteren, wonder if the potential buyer interested in your Mum's house (who appreciated your woodpile!) has come in with an offer for the house yet?
Finished watching the 4th season of Fringe, disappointed that RM hadn't delivered the 5th series to me when I got back from work yesterday, but hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow, and can look forward to many more hours of happy viewing
On the subject of speed limits, I do wish the government would allow those lorries over 7.5t to use their own judgement and not limit them to 40mph on A roads. I have many miles to do each day, often stuck behind several tail to tail artics, with very few safe overtaking places (and of course, that's where the speed traps are always set up), and over most of those miles, an artic could very safely do 60mph as well.
Had an interesting conversation with DS1 whilst taking him back to uni the other weekend. We were talking about respect of/for the police force. I was actually quite surprised that he had the respect for them that he did. Whereas I would suspect, that most of my generation, any respect has diminished over the years, with the police force seemingly keen to raise so much money through fines. eg. a speed camera van placed in a particular village, 40mph limit, on the Saturday between Christmas and new year, very few cars on the road. They would have caught very very few transgressors (probably only non local traffic as that speed van position is regularly used). The general public have paid for the van, and the police officer/s time, to what end?
Have a good evening one and all.The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0
