Yum just had a Tosco finest cottage pie for dinner, should have been £7 (:eek::eek:) but yellow sticker £1, and it was lovely, but I would never be able to pay £7 for a cottage pie!
Anyway, I know this type of shop is controversial around here but half price tomorrow at T:
Bakers Dental Delicious Large Chicken 270G
Better Than Half Price Was £2.09 ...
Will be £1.
Useless to me as an unfortunately dogless person, but could be useful to someone else.

As for your other example, about whether to comply with a constable giving direction to go through a red light and having difficulties with that, would it help to think that the red light was broken? A police officer is unlikely to just set up in the middle of the road and direct people through red lights without an extremely good reason (they don't have a death wish!) and it would be usually down to broken traffic lights, or something like having to manouvere traffic carefully round a blockage or accident.
Edited to say, thanks for answering the question savvy!
It was some time ago now and, eventually, I took the pragmatic way out, at last:o, and complied with the contable's direction! It would have been easier if the red light was broken (and for all I know the lights for the traffic in other directions at that crossroads could well have been broken) - sadly the red light (for my traffic) wasn't broken. I couldn't pretend it was and, for me, that would have added another additional processing on top (and more delay from that) - thinking it is on red (which it is), then having to think it's broken. Then, when I have decided (or pretended) it is broken, only then complying with the direction. I didn't really think about it that way - it was 'better', although a bit stressful, to think of red light, constable direction. Conflict, conflict, conflict, how can I simultaneously stay at the light (as directed by the light) and not stay at the light (as directed by the constable)? A little later perhaps than hoped, I went through on the direction of the police officer. after moments of edging forward on her direction whilst simultaneously attempting to follow the red light and not breach it. Phew!!:)
Thought of red light, constable direction, is the light broken? (ponder ponder that whilst) another constable direction would have been an even longer process that the thought process actually was. The blunt and 'case closed' finality answer from me is: 'They should of checked to make sure the red light wasn't showing before giving their direction'.
(Doh! I honestly didn't think of the reason why they might have been there. Too busy concentrating on driving. Didn't occur to me at the time: but, now considering it, not too deep consideration needed, the officer wouldn't just set up in the road and yes they were manoeuvring traffic round a blockage. I just thought about the traffic lights, the police direction, driving (or not driving - i.e. stopping still, in the case of a red light) my car safely.)
I think I am a bad driver. (Contrary to popular belief of perhaps 'most' drivers, about themselves.) Many (or perhaps most) people think they are good drivers and that is a problem as they are over-confident about their driving and actually unsafe. We all make the odd mistakes and slips on the road. I think I'm a bad driver - hopefully, that makes me more careful and safe (albeit being careful is sometimes a fault - if carefulness equates too much to being too cautious - end up with someone crashing into the back of you if you do that too much!). I probably am more careful and safe, but I don't like to think I am as that may be too confident in my abilities - as 'most' people are, without just cause - and thus in fact a worse driver.0 -
